Caring for a Loved One with Alzheimer's Who's Experiencing Changes Beyond Memory?
A research study in Independence, Ohio is evaluating a new approach for patients with Alzheimer's disease. We're looking for patients and their care partners to participate.
Who May Qualify
This study is designed for people living with Alzheimer's disease who are experiencing certain changes, along with their care partners.
Alzheimer's Diagnosis
The patient has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia by a healthcare provider.
Care Partner Available
A spouse, family member, or caregiver is able to attend study visits and provide information about the patient's daily life.
Changes Beyond Memory
In addition to memory concerns, the patient is experiencing behavioral or mood changes—such as agitation, restlessness, or personality changes.
Care Partner Available
The patient and care partner can attend appointments at our research site in Independence, Ohio (near Cleveland).
What to Expect
Participating in a research study is a commitment, but our team is here to support you every step of the way.
Initial Phone Screening
We'll call you to ask a few questions and see if the study might be a good fit. This usually takes about 15-20 minutes.
In-Person Screening Visit
If it looks like a good match, you'll come to our site for a more complete evaluation. We'll review the study in detail and answer all your questions.
Study Participation
Qualified participants will attend regular visits over several months. You'll receive study-related medical care and compensation for your time.

Common Questions
Is there any cost to participate?
No. All study-related care, including medical evaluations and study medication, is provided at no cost to you. You'll also receive compensation for your time and travel expenses.
Replace current docter?
No. Participants continue to see their regular doctors and take their prescribed medications. Our study team works alongside your existing healthcare providers.
What if we decide the study isn't right for us?
Participation is completely voluntary. You can withdraw at any time, for any reason, without affecting your loved one's regular medical care.
How long does the study last?
The length varies by study. During your screening call, we'll explain exactly what's involved, including the number and frequency of visits.
Why do you need a care partner to participate?
Care partners provide valuable information about how the patient is doing day-to-day. They also help ensure the patient's safety and comfort throughout the study.
