Schizophrenia Clinical Trials & Treatment In Independence OH

The PTSD Research Study is being conducted to see whether an investigational study medication can help reduce symptoms of PTSD. The medication works on parts of the brain that control mood, stress, and how we process fear and trauma.

Many people living with PTSD find that symptoms like flashbacks, nightmares, anxiety, and emotional numbness can make everyday life difficult — even with current treatments. Researchers want to see if this new medication can help reduce these symptoms and improve overall quality of life in Independence and Cleveland, OH.

How the study works: The study medication is given at the clinic once a week for 4 weeks. Each visit lasts at least 6 hours, and you will be monitored by trained staff the entire time. Because this is a research study, participants are placed into one of three groups by chance — some will receive the study drug and some will receive a placebo (a pill with no active medication in it).

This study is seeking adults who:
-
Are 18 years of age or older
-
Have been living with PTSD for at least 6 months
-
Have moderate to severe PTSD symptoms
-
Have tried at least one prior treatment for PTSD (medication or therapy)

Study commitment: The study lasts about 12 weeks and includes a screening visit, 4 weekly dosing visits at the clinic, follow-up visits every 2 weeks after dosing ends, and a final visit at Week 12. There is no cost to you for the study treatment or any study-related visits or tests. Reimbursement for travel costs and meals may be available.
